Bro. John brings us to chapters 20 and 21 of Genesis. First he covers Abraham making the same mistake in deceiving Abimelech in the same fashion he did Pharoah and Abimelech reproving Abraham and Sarah after God visits him. From there we go over the good news of Isaac’s birth and tie in the fact that despite his mistakes God still uses Abraham. So if he can use him he can use us.
Bro. John takes us to Isaiah to recount prophecies of the coming Messiah before going over what we know of the early years of Christ’s life.
Bro John speaks on the many graces, both eternal and temporal, that the Lord has bestowed upon his children.
Bro. John finishes our journey through the book of Philippians with an admonition from Paul to greet one another with love and to pray for each other daily.
Bro. John’s study in Genesis comes to chapter three and the fall of Adam and Eve. He discusses the death in the garden as being a separation from God. Bro. Tommy dives deeper into the concept of sin being a lie Satan tells us and exhorts us not to believe the lie.
Bro. John continues in Philippians chapter four with a message on the importance of the church being diligent in our search for opportunities to assist those around us, starting with others in the church and working our way into the community.
Bro. John takes us through Genesis 18 and 19. He covers the story of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah. In doing so he goes over the sins that took place there and how the things we allow ourselves to be around can effect our walk as Christians.
