Bro. Tommy begins in Psalms 46 and encourages us in times of trouble to remember the proper way to orient ourselves. In those moments us he tells us to stand still, commune with ourselves and remember that the Lord we serve is stronger than whatever opposes us.
Bro. Tommy starts once more in John chapter 17 and discusses the importance Christ places upon unity in the body. From there we go to 1 Corinthians and cover the different gifts Paul outlines within the early church and how we can use these gifts to assist those around us.
Bro. Tommy speaks from John once more, his message revolves around God’s high priestly prayer at the end of John 17. He discusses how comforting it is to know that Jesus prays for us and the blessing of the indwelling of the spirit.
Bro. Tommy instructs us on how we are to speak to ourselves in “Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs” and how doing so helps us on our journey.
Bro. Tommy takes us back to Genesis Chapter 15 to focus on Abram and God’s promises to Abram. He illustrates that in Abram’s life and his descendants lives God always fulfilled his promises though not always in the timeframe they would’ve preferred but it was always the right time.
Bro. Tommy takes us to John 16 and focuses on verses 8 through 11 and the idea that the Holy Spirit reproves the world through the children of God.
Bro. John’s study in Genesis comes to chapter three and the fall of Adam and Eve. He discusses the death in the garden as being a separation from God. Bro. Tommy dives deeper into the concept of sin being a lie Satan tells us and exhorts us not to believe the lie.
Bro. Tommy continues in John this time in Chapter 20 where he reminds us that the only thing that really matters is that Jesus loves us and how that can be a comfort in all stages of life.
Brother Tommy returns to John 10 to highlight how Pastors ought to follow Christ’s example in caring for their congregation in a world filled with forces who would seek to divide. Brother John goes to Matthew 24 to further warn of those who would look to deceive.
Bro. Tommy continues our journey through the book of John, this week focusing in Chapter 10. He bases this message on God being the example of the good shepherd that pastors should strive to emulate.
